This is all new to me and I'm not sure how it works. I will just say that the holiday was so much fun and lots of work, but worth it. The kids have all gone home and we are now looking forward to Mayra coming for Christmas. (She is our .5 child and special) As the story goes, families in the USA have approximately 2.5 children. She was available and now we are in compliance.
Thanks to my winning a huge gift card from Moose Jaw the girls will all have new coats and boots under the Xmas tree. I made the mittens and scarfs and Mayra will look just great and toasty in them when she returns to California in January.
glad you were able to get your blog set up! Glad you are having fun blogging, I love getting new recipes and meeting new people as well. Wishing you and hubby a wonderful Christmas holiday-see you in Jan!
Wishing all my viewers and friends a Happy 2009. I don't know about you, but it was a hard one in many ways. I'm hoping and praying for people to ban together, back our new president and try to get our troops home, our economy going and health care for all.
I won a weekend ski get-away today. We don't ski, but we sure need to get away. They included a $100. gift certificate which is really nice. Great way to start the week
Busy entering the Bloggers Carnival. Had a wonderful weekend at Sunday River. Still can't believe it was a gift. No recession going on up there. Snow today and lots of it. More free time to blog as long as the power stays on.
We are going to Newport this afternoon to meet with some of our blogging friends. It is always nice to see them and hear what is going on in their worlds. The weather is still really cold, but at least it is not snowing.
I won a cooking contest through Maine Fare. Went to Camden and stayed at the most beautiful Inn with a view of the harbor. The recipe was for "Red Flannel Hash" and it was my Mom's. She would have loved all the fuss made over a simple mixture of great Maine veggies. We were guests at a cocktail party that featured 15 of Maine's most famous chefs. They each cooked their favorite recipe and we all had wine & beer made in Maine. A weekend to remember.
